MISS CINTHIA

Owner, Teacher, Artistic Director

Miss Cinthia started her dance career at the age of 2 ½ years old and continued to take every dance class available to her. When Cinthia realized that this was her true passion and knew she wanted to make dance a career, she began student teaching at the age of fourteen and has been teaching dance to children and adults for nine years. She auditioned for the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts (LVPA) and made it. She graduated from LVPA in 2007 and in August 2007 she attended Cedar Crest College. She graduated with high honors from Cedar Crest College in May 2011 with a double major in Dance (B.A.) and Psychology (B.A.).

While in College, Cinthia had the opportunity to hold the position of President of Nu Delta Alpha (the dance honor society), have one of her many choreographed pieces adjudicated at the American College Dance Festival where her piece was seen and highly reviewed by thousands of dance professionals, had three internships, was in all five of the dance companies which performed two dance concerts per year, and she choreographed many pieces for the Student Choreographers concert. She was also the dance company manager for two years and the dance office assistant during her senior year of college, where she worked side by side with the dance faculty and learned the ins and outs of running a college level dance program.

For the past three years, Cinthia has been dancing with Monarch, which is a professional dance company that performs in the Lehigh Valley, New York, and Philadelphia areas. Cinthia continues her dance education by attending dance teacher conventions, taking dance classes in New York and Philadelphia, and by researching and staying up to date on the latest trends and the proper dance techniques.

MISS CHRISTINA

Miss Christina began dancing at the age of 3 in Wind Gap, Pa and new it was for her instantly. From there she attended Art of Dance Studios where she absolutely fell in love with dance and took every and any class available to her!! While a student, she performed in various shows around the Lehigh Valley and New York City. She was also able to dance in Disney several times and take master classes from Disney dancers. Miss Christina became a student assistant when she was in middle school. She was also a member of the award winning competition team where she placed in many dances. She has also received numerous judges choice awards for her solos. After graduation she began teaching dance at studios in New Jersey and locally in Pa. During her years of teaching, Miss Christina has coached award winning competition teams locally in the Lehigh Valley. She’s has been awarded Best Choreographer of the Show, Entertainer of the Year, Highest Overall numbers and her dances have received many National Titles.

She is a certified Acrobatic Arts teacher and also certified in the Acrobatic Arts Preschool Program. She is also certified in Alixa Flexibility Module I and is a Ready Set Dance certified teacher as well. Currently she takes many master classes and attends conventions in NYC, New Jersey and Las Vegas to expand her dance education, keep up with latest trends, proper dance techniques and dancer safety. Miss Christina is also studying with ISSA certified trainers program with a concentrated certification in strength and conditioning for dancers. Miss Christina loves being able to share her passion for the art of dance with all of her students.

MISS HANNAH

MISS JADE

Miss Jade grew up in Bangor, Pennsylvania and received training from Dance Design Studio and the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts under the direction of Kimberly Maniscalco. She continued her dance education at University of Florida where she received her B.F.A in Dance in 2019.

Miss Jade’s choreography has been shown at the Regional High School Dance Festival, American College Dance Association, University of Florida, University of Kentucky, and the Day of Dance Festival in Northern Ireland.

In 2022, Miss Jade started her graduate studies at Lesley University and will be receiving her M.A in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Dance/Movement Therapy in 2025. Currently, she is a dance educator and choreographer in the Lehigh Valley and is looking forward to another great year with her students at Cartesion Dance Academy!

MISS JENNA

Miss Jenna is from New York City. She began dancing recreationally at the age of 2, and was part of a competitive team from ages 7-18. Miss Jenna has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, musical theatre, tap, hip-hop, and Latin. In high school, Miss Jenna began student teaching both recreational classes and special needs dance/movement classes. She worked with children with physical and/or mental disabilities and aided in teaching basic motor skills, memory skills, and social/communication skills. This is when she fell in love with the fields of psychology and dance therapy.

Miss Jenna graduated Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in Psychology and Business, with a minor in Dance. Working alongside her professors, she published a chapter titled, “Dance and Movement Therapy With Children and Developmental Disabilities/Disorders,” in Dr. Silton’s book, “Exploring the Benefit of Creative Arts Therapies for Children, Adolescents, and Adults.”

During her time in college, Miss Jenna trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. She was also on her college’s dance team, Marymount Missiles, which performed at school events and local showcases in the Upper East Side. Since 2021, Jenna has been a company member of DanceWorks NYC, the city’s largest performance-based dance organization for advanced & technically trained dancers. She has also been featured in several dance films for Continuum Dance Co. (New York Chapter) and other independent films.

Miss Jenna is excited to start teaching at Cartesion Dance Academy and share her love for dance with new students!

MISS SARAH

Miss Sarah is a multifaceted artist and educator who specializes in dance performance, choreography, and fitness. Miss Sarah grew up in New Jersey and trained in a range of dance genres such as modern, contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap, and hip hop. Miss Sarah received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography and minor in Entrepreneurship from Towson University in May 2023. During her time at Towson University, Miss Sarah studied with Tracie Burton-Hooper, Runqiao Du, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Robert Kleinendorst, Nicole Martinell, and Caroline Rocher Barnes. She also had the opportunity to participate in guest artist residencies with Ephrat Asherie, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, and Xiang Xu. Miss Sarah was an apprentice with Nickerson-Rossi Dance in Palm Springs, CA during the summers of 2022 and 2023. Miss Sarah has also trained in precision jazz dance through various workshops with past and current Rockettes. Miss Sarah became a certified Pure Barre Instructor in 2023 and is passionate about incorporating cross-training techniques in her dance training and teaching. As an artist, Miss Sarah aims to construct unique dance compositions, educate future generations of dancers, provide audiences with impactful experiences, and advocate for the continuous improvement of the dance industry.

MISS VIC

Miss Vic has been dancing since she was 3 years old and trained at Cartesion Dance Academy for her middle school and high school years. As a member of the Cartesion Dance Company, she performed locally, throughout the Lehigh Valley, and in showcases in New York City and Disney World. She continued her dance education at DeSales University and earned her B.A. in Dance in May 2021. Throughout her four years at DeSales, she has studied ballet and modern technique, modern partnering, tap, choreography/dance composition, and dance teaching methods. She also focused her studies on dance pedagogy and choreography, while also teaching at DeSales University’s Conservatory of Dance.

Currently, Miss Vic is earning her M.Ed. in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University and is continuing to expand her knowledge of arts integration in the classroom. Miss Vic is thrilled to be entering her third season teaching at Cartesion Dance Academy and is excited for the chance to spark artistic individuality in her classes.
